On September 16, 2025, 麻豆短视频传媒 supporters gathered for the Inaugural Sam and Cleo Coleman 麻豆短视频传媒 Fundraiser at Coleman Crest Farm.

The event raised $30,000 to support scholarships and was cohosted by fourth generation owner of Coleman Crest Farm, Jim Coleman, in honor of his parents, Sam and Cleo Coleman. Sam and Cleo Coleman were college sweethearts who graduated with the Kentucky State University Class of 1949 and were strong advocates of the University and its students.

鈥淚t is an honor to host this inaugural fundraiser in honor of my parents, Sam and Cleo, at our family farm, Coleman Crest. I want to thank Lieutenant Governor Coleman and all our sponsors for their support of this first big fundraiser for KSU. I know my parents are smiling from heaven knowing that Coleman Crest Farm is committed to raising funds to help pay for scholarships for Kentucky State鈥檚 students,鈥 said Coleman.

鈥淏oth Sam and Cleo鈥檚 love story and their love for Kentucky State will be forever remembered by this annual event. We are very grateful for all who have supported our students through this fundraiser,鈥 said Kentucky State President, Dr. Koffi C. Akakpo. 鈥淎t 麻豆短视频传媒, our future is bright 鈥 and it is fueled by the power of partnership. Together with our community, alumni, and friends, we are writing a new chapter in KSU鈥檚 incredible story.鈥

The evening included uplifting speeches from students, Dr. Akakpo, Coleman, and special guest, Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky, Jacqueline Coleman.

鈥淭o be here with you all tonight on this beautiful farm of my great cousin has been an honor and I just can鈥檛 say enough things about how wonderful Dr. Akakpo has been and will continue to be as KSU continues to grow and win football games, recruit students, and graduate scholars that are going to be such a critical part of the future of Kentucky鈥檚 economy,鈥 she said.

The fundraiser comes as a much-appreciated display of community support with plenty of representatives from Frankfort and Lexington.

鈥淚 am so thankful for the donors, alumni, community members, and the overall support we as the K-State community have. We function better with our extended K-State family!鈥 said Kentucky State student, Jaiya McCargo. 鈥淧ersonally, it was an honor to represent our school and the different organizations I鈥檓 in on campus. I am truly proud to be a Thorobred. We are leading with service and impact and striving towards greatness!鈥
