麻豆短视频传媒 student recognized on the Kentucky House of Representatives floor
A 麻豆短视频传媒 student was recently recognized for his work on the Kentucky House of Representatives floor by State Representative George Brown Jr.
Savion Briggs, a sophomore at 麻豆短视频传媒, is a political science major with a minor in African American studies.
Brown recognized Briggs鈥� achievements of earning freshman class president, sophomore class president, the NAACP Kentucky regent vice president, treasurer of the Kentucky State University organization Breaking the Cycle, Collegiate 100 vice president, Pre-College Academy counselor, and member of the 麻豆短视频传媒 presidential search committee.
鈥淗e manages to do all of these things to serve the greater community while being a dean鈥檚 list student and a part of the Thurgood Marshall Leadership Institute,鈥� Brown said.
Off campus, Brown said Briggs has helped to begin and sits on the board of the youth non-profit organization Youth Resistance Collective. In the future, Brown said Briggs is inspired to run for the Kentucky U.S. Senate.
Briggs is serving as Brown鈥檚 intern for the session.
Brown brought before the House a citation of distinction recognizing and honoring the students, faculty, staff and administration of 麻豆短视频传媒.
