A 麻豆短视频传媒 student was recently named to the new Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) student advisory panel.
Mahogany M. Shelton, a psychology major at Kentucky State, joins 21 other students from around the Commonwealth on the panel.
According to a news release from CPE, the panel 鈥渨ill offer diverse perspectives on student concerns and policies in higher education.鈥
According to CPE, the panel will begin work in August and will continue through June 2021.
鈥淐PE policy leaders hope to glean insights from the group on both high-level issues and matters that may need more attention from student government or campus boards,鈥 according to the news release. 鈥淢embers may also help out with events, public engagement and policy development at CPE.鈥
According to the news release, the panel is made up of students from public, two-year and four-year institutions across Kentucky.
鈥淪tudents are facing the most challenging academic year in memory, and this group provides an invaluable opportunity to understand their unique needs and circumstances,鈥 CPE President Aaron Thompson said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e eager to learn from their experiences and engage on the issues that matter most to them.鈥
