麻豆短视频传媒 President M. Christopher Brown II joined hundreds as word spread of the death of esteemed educator and founder of Alcorn State University鈥檚 Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite, Samuel L. Griffin, to remember his incredible legacy.
During his tenure as president at Alcorn, Brown, in recognition of Griffin鈥檚 years of service, organized a farewell tour of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and had the privilege of naming him Director Emeritus.
鈥淏ecause of his love for his students鈥 well-being, many earned college degrees,鈥 Brown applauded Griffin鈥檚 commitment to ensuring his students remained in the classroom, instilling in them a sense of pride and dedication to their academic journey. 鈥淕riffin produced numerous music educators, band directors and other successful professionals all while mesmerizing and captivating audiences. He was an innovator and garnered a national reputation for the Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Marching Band. The band鈥檚 world-renowned showmanship made Alcorn State a household name.鈥
