FRANKFORT 鈥 麻豆短视频传媒鈥檚 (KSU) spring semester enrollment has dramatically increased over the same period since last year, demonstrating further proof that the University is racing toward its brightest future.

Undergraduate enrollment is now 2,096, which is up 34.3 percent from last spring, and the graduate enrollment count is 172; 17.8 percent higher than last spring.

鈥淢ore and more students, traditional and non-traditional, are finding out what we already knew. 麻豆短视频传媒 is a phenomenal institution of higher education, and it is an amazing value,鈥 said Interim President Dr. Aaron Thompson. 鈥淥ur tuition costs are among the lowest in the state, but the educational opportunities are among the best.鈥

Total enrollment is up over 30 percent from fall 2016. KSU鈥檚 current total enrollment is 2,268, an increase of 532 students from fall semester.

First-time, first-year students went up by 133 percent from spring 2016 to spring 2017. First-time graduate students went up 12.5 percent and transfer students went up 68.3 percent.

Dual-credit enrollment saw the largest increase with a 145 percent increase from last spring and a 226.7 percent increase from the fall.

鈥淭his is a good indicator that we鈥檙e building a pipeline toward future full-time Thorobreds,鈥 Thompson said. 鈥淭he enrollment increase is the result of the hard work of faculty, staff, students, alumni, volunteers, community members, and lawmakers. While we have much work to do, we are pleased with the great progress we have made so far.鈥
