麻豆短视频传媒 held its 51st Annual Honors Convocation Thursday morning in Bradford Hall鈥檚 Carl H. Smith Auditorium.

Dr. Robert L. King, president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, was the speaker and gave students advice on how to translate their education to 鈥渟omething larger.鈥 He urged them to not only finish their bachelor鈥檚 degrees but also to consider earning a master鈥檚 or doctoral degree.

鈥淪erve as a role model to a young person who may not yet think college is possible,鈥 King added.

And, lastly, he suggested that some of them consider becoming teachers to help educate minority students.

KSU President Mary Evans Sias presented the President鈥檚 Awards to full-time freshman, sophomore, junior and senior students with 4.0 grade point averages. Ten freshman students received the President鈥檚 Award this year.

Frankfort Mayor William May, who is a KSU graduate, presented the Mayor鈥檚 Citizenship Award to KSU Student Government Association President Julian Jeter-Davis.

鈥淛ulian has contributed so much to our community,鈥 May said.
